As a food blogger, one of my FAVORITE foodie lists is the 100 Top Restaurants list curated by Houston Chronicle Food Critic Alison Cook. Every year I use this list as a guide for new food adventures and to pat myself on the back when places I reviewed make the list. I love that it always plays homage to the diverse cuisines that are represented in this diverse metropolis. From Asian standouts, to soul food, and of course Texas barbecue, they all will be represented. There is also great care to ensure the list includes a variety of price points so everyone can enjoy it! This year Alison Cook will officially debut the list at the fourth annual Houston Chronicle Culinary Stars! Check out below for event details!
The event is set for October 26th at 6:30PM! So of course an event like this will include plenty of sips and bites for guests dining pleasure! Attendees will be treated to food from over 30 restaurants including several on the top 100 restaurant lists! In addition to the food, the event will feature wine from local wineries.
The event was originally scheduled for September, but was pushed back due to Harvey. As such, the Houston Chronicle retooled the event to ensure that proceeds will benefit local charities aiding in the recovery effort
It’s not everyday that Houston’s best and brightest chefs can gather in ONE space! Just check out the list & you will see plenty of heavy hitters and some of my favorites too. I mean Xochi, Helen’s, Kitchen 713, Harold’s, Yauatcha and La Table are all included! It’s like a dream!
There are some other restaurants on the list that I have wanting to try such as Killen’s STQ, Latin Bites! Unfortunately work prevented me from making it to a Latin Bites preview event, but for all the details on that head over to my friend Gristle & Gossip!
The event is less than a week away and tickets are selling out fast! To get in on this good foodie fun, click the link and purchase your ticket today!
