Snooze AM Eatery

Houston officially joined the cool kids i.e. Austin with the opening of our very own Snooze AM Eatery!! Snooze AM Eatery is a diner featuring all of your favorite American breakfast dishes with unique spins. The Houston location opened last week, but I was one of the lucky ones invited out to try Snooze during their soft opening.  Check out my experience below! Location/ Setup: Snooze AM Eatery honestly could not have picked a better location.  Located on Montrose and Westheimer, it's a hop away from Washington and Midtown hot spots, for the after club crowd.  Plus it's right in the [...]

Sundown at the Grove

Last Wednesday, I visited Sundown at the Grove presented by Southwest airlines.  The event is weekly and showcases craft breweries paired with cuisine created by the Grove's chef!  I feel a bit cheated since this event has been around for five years and this is only the first year that I heard of it!  When the organizers invited me to attend, I jumped at the chance to experience Sundown and of course share my experience with you all! How it Works The event is hosted on the Grove's upstairs patio which is hands down one of the best rooftop patios [...]

Within an hour, I had Halal Guys at my door thanks to UberEats.  Check out my thoughts on Uber Eats and the Halal Guys below! How it Works If you have used Uber, you can make your way through UberEats.  The apps are virtually the same.  After selecting your pick up location, you peruse through the menus that are available [...]

Oysters & Cocktails the Tasting Room

When I pulled up to the Tasting Room in Uptown Park for their Oysters and Cocktails event I had an instant flashback to twenty-one year old Erika home for the summer, looking for some adult wine shenanigans to get into!  My high school friends and I decided that the Tasting Room fit the bill and made the trek from Cypress to their uptown location, only to arrive and be overwhelmed with the sophisticated menu and wine options!  We left and went somewhere more age appropriate, like Chili's.   Thankfully, in the near decade since then I and my palette have matured [...]

THIRTY

Despite my best efforts to stay in my twenties FOREVER, last month I officially turned the BIG 3-0.  My friend gave me a card that described my turning thirty process perfectly.  First, shock.  "This literally cannot be happening! I just turned twenty last week!"  Second, anger.  I snapped at a few folks who tried to label me as "old."  Then there was denial.  Yes, I refused to believe that thirty was upon me and continued to live in a space of twenty-nine and youth.  Finally, I reached a point of acceptance and said "ya know... I'm 30, but I still [...]
