Oceaniare Dining Room This past weekend we celebrated my friend Leeann's birthday at Oceaniare Seafood Room. If you recall, Oceanaire was on my list of places to go for Houston Restaurant Weeks so I was excited about this pick! We had a larger group so we were seated in a semi private area to the side of the main dining room. The restaurant printed up personalized menus with "Happy Birthday Leeann!" for everyone. I met up with a group of high school friends to celebrate a few things. First, my good friend got engaged in Europe a few weeks ago and this was our first chance to see her in person to congratulate her. Second my other good friend just completed her degree. We are so very proud of her and it deserved a good brunch to celebrate. If you recall, in my Happy Hour post I mentioned that I needed to stop by Prospect Park's Wednesday 50 cent wing night. Twitter informed me that Wednesday was National Chicken Wing Day so, the stars were aligned for a trip to Prospect Park to celebrate! Prospect Park has recently become my "Cheers bar" due to proximity and a great crowd. Prospect brags about having the best wings in town. Amy My sister and I made a long awaited trip to the movies to see the critically acclaimed documentary, Amy, which focuses on the short life of jazz/soul singer Amy Winehouse.
