Air Fryer Brussels Sprouts

I professed my love for my air fryer on my last blog post, so it should be no surprise that I am back with a new recipe also featuring my air fryer! Since purchasing my air fryer, I have stuck with chicken and potatoes for the most part.  This weekend, I decided to throw in some brussels sprouts to basically "roast" them.  It was a simple process that I thought was worth sharing with you all so here is my Air Fryer Brussels Sprouts recipe. Air Fryer Fried Potatoes and Onions

More time in the kitchen brings about more food experiments! My new kitchen also brought more storage space allowing me to invest in some of the new popular kitchen gadgets, starting with an air fryer.   Prior to the air fryer I really was not frying food on the regular.  The mess, the popping grease and that smell! You'd smell it for days.  An air fryer eliminated those issues so I racked my brain trying to think of what I would make and instantly remembered my mama's fried potatoes!  As a child this was one of her go to sides made [...]

I recently discovered the CAULIPOWER brand and it is honestly taking Taco Tuesday to the next level.  The company takes pride in creating some of our favorite dishes with cauliflower.  From pizza crusts, to cauliflower tortillas.  Here is why I liked them.  I am the person who piles their tacos with all of the typical American toppings like sour cream, cheese and salsa.  As such, these tacos are [...]

A Simple Mac and Cheese

When I wrote the Mac and Cheese Rules a few years back many of you said "sis, but where is YOUR recipe."  I was still toying around trying to find something that I like.  I then found myself relying on recipes of other bloggers that I admire.  Their recipes were good, don't get me wrong, but I was not in love.  Plus they involved a lot of cheeses that I could not afford or pronounce.  So, this Thanksgiving I decided to simplify my process a bit and create a Simple Mac and Cheese.  It will put you in the mind [...]

Sweet Potato Cinnamon Rolls

If you have been following me for awhile you know that I am solidly on "team sweet potato is better than any and everything pumpkin flavored".  While a pumpkin flavored item will never grace my dinner table, I do take some inspiration from the constant onslaught of pumpkin flavored foolery every fall! If they can add pumpkin to stuff then I surely can make it better with sweet potato.  Hence my new favorite recipe, Sweet Potato Cinnamon Rolls. The inspiration for these was simple.  Sweet potatoes come to life when you throw in some butter, brown sugar and cinnamon.  And [...]
