I do not believe in eating in on Friday nights so I stopped over to Mod Pizza this past weekend for a quick no fuss dinner. This place is best described as the Chipotle of Pizza Shops. When you walk in, there is a menu of the favorites, but you are welcome to make your own pizza with all the ingredients present ( so many options!). I went for the Dillion James which includes asiago, basil, garlic, tomatoes (I went without), red sauce and added sausage for no extra cost. You walk through the Chipotle styled assembly line and pick your ingredients if you decide to go for your own creation. I heard staffers say you could add as much as you liked on your pizza at no extra cost, which beats your big chain stores any day. The pizzas are baked in a pizza oven and surprisingly the whole process takes about ten to fifteen minutes.

Sorry guys, I took horrible pictures at Mod! This is supposed to show the pizza oven and the topping options.
I grabbed my $8 pizza to go. The largest of their pizzas is still an individual sized pizza with a thin crust. It’s a really good pizza, with some above average topping options. The price, the taste and the portions options make this a great weekend pizza option. I will be back and probably order online ahead next time.
This pizza looks pretty good! We are really fond of thin crust and unique toppings. There is a pizza shop around here that has a pizza with chorizo on it and it’s SO delicious!! We are long time foodies but new to the blogging world! I would love it if you’d stop by my blog! http://www.ourfoodieappetite.com/zynodoa-restaurant-review-staunton-va/
Thanks will do!
