To know me is to KNOW that I order Halal Guys via Uber Eats AT least once a month.  I have no shame!  Despite Halal Guys having several convenient locations around Houston, I still had not visited in person.  After being invited to stop by a location to see all that Halal Guys had to offer, I could not pass up a visit and of  course provide you all with the info!  Read along for all of my details on my visit to the Halal Guys! High Tea at Radio Milano

Radio Milano boasts a modern Italian menu with a hip bar space downstairs.  They have taken their modern spin a little further with the introduction of a Modern High Tea.  So think of it this way.  You probably had a tea set as a kid and imagined yourself enjoying a fancy tea with friends once you grew up.   Radio Milano took that vision, modernized it and included some important aspects, like cocktails!!! Check out my High Tea at Radio Milano experience below! The Location and Setup The main dining room. Radio Milano is a two story restaurant nestled in [...]

Week 1: Houston Restaurant Weeks!

August is the month where food bloggers like myself run around like crazy people trying to eat at ALL the good restaurants during Houston Restaurant Weeks for the low.  Add in that a portion of my meal purchase goes to charity?  Yeah I'm in there like swimwear.   For those who do not know, each August Houston's premiere restaurants participate in Houston Restaurants Weeks.  They offer two to three course meals during brunch, lunch, or dinner for $20-45 bucks!  It is the BEST time to try that restaurant that may set you back a few coins. So I being the [...]

Pei Wei $5 Lunch Menu

Last week, I stopped over at Pei Wei with a group of blogger friends to sample their new $5 lunch menu.  Let me start with this, I am not a huge fan of Chinese food.  That's not to say that I do not like it, it's just that when I am craving a certain cuisine, Asian food is rarely one of them.  So I went to Pei Wei, the Chinese fast casual, for this lunch with moderate expectations.  Trust me when I say, I was blown away!  The Pei Wei $5 Lunch Menu, packs quality in with value and flavor! Seaside Poke

Poke, (pronounced po-kay) is all the rage and I for one am all about a food trend!  For the most part, high end restaurants have held the market on the poke trend which means it can be a budget buster.  Well to my budget conscious foodies, a new option poke bowl option, Seaside Poke just opened in EADO.  Check out my experience below! The Setup and Location Located in EADO next door to Chapman and Kirby, Seaside Poke is getting in game early.  In a matter of months that whole area will be filled with more restaurants, bars and businesses. Part [...]

Velvet Taco

Back with a taco post ahead of Taco Tuesday so you can prepare accordingly! Velvet Taco has been on my "need to try" list for a long time, but I tend to circle back to places I like such as Torchy's rather than trying something new.   A couple of Fridays ago I was not in the mood to fight the Rice Village traffic, so that meant giving Velvet Taco a try.  I grabbed a co-worker and we headed out for our first trip to the popular taco spot, Velvet Taco! The Setup/Location Taco Heaven! Velvet Taco is [...]

Biskit Junkie

I spent last weekend running errands related to my upcoming Brunchin' with Black Girls Who Brunch event! I seriously cannot wait and find a way to bring it up in just about any conversation.  Anywho, with any food blogger you run a few errands and you are quickly plotting on a food stop as well.  Biskit Junkie happened to be in the vicinity and since I'd never been, I quickly decided it was a good idea.  Keeping reading for all of the details of my experience! The Setup So I am going to keep it real here about my experience [...]

Cafe Azur

I traveled to "France" for lunch recently and I am back just in time to share my experience with you! By France, I mean Cafe Azur, Houston's latest and greatest French restaurant.  Since opening last fall, Cafe Azur has been delighting Montrose visitors with their beautiful patio, brunch and dinner menus.  Here recently, they expanded their offerings to include lunch.  I took a break from my real paying job for a nice lunch with fellow bloggers where we experienced the French Riviera! Setup I visited Cafe Azur last fall soon after they open and loved it.  Time got away from me and [...]

NOLA Poboys

A few weekends back myself and some blogger friends were treated to a tasting at NOLA Poboys!  While Houston isn't New Orleans we have a our fare share of restaurants claiming to do New Orleans staples well.  Just about any Houstonian will name off their favorite of those restaurants and tell you what they do well.  With that in mind, I was eager to see what NOLA Poboys had to offer especially after I learned that this spot was New Orleans implant. Setup and Location The owner shared with us the plans for expansion throughout the Houston suburbs, but for [...]
