Can I tell you how much I love this place? When my wallet allows for it, I swing over to Whole Foods for groceries or their hot food section. The Whole Foods on Post Oak is the best one in the city, no competition. It is the design of the place that makes me break my grocery budget for the month every time I walk in there. It is very bright and open. The produce section for example was probably organized by an interior designer as opposed to a produce manager because fruits and veggies that compliment color wise seemed to be stored together. Then the butcher and seafood counter are just beautiful. I am sure the meat offerings are the same as my local Krogers, but for some reason Whole Foods’ counter makes me stop, stare and purchase! There is some kind of trickery going on in that place and it’s not just their prices.
The hot food section includes tacos, pizza, a greek station, sandwich AND a brewery right in the grocery store. A lot of times these kinds of options in a grocery store are for when you are in a pinch, but i come here intentionally. My go to items are the pizza or the bbq offered near the butcher. On my last trip I tried the tacos. You order via a computer system and they will text when your order is ready. I find that very convenient but unfortunately the tacos are my least favorite item I have tried at Whole Foods. I will stick to the pizza and bbq.
On the second floor, there is plenty of seating for those who choose to eat in. It seems like the perfect place to get some work done, so eventually I will go there to write. There is a coffee shop below and great views of the entire store. I’ll be able to people watch while getting some work done
